What To Expect When Applying
Current vacancies for both sworn and non-sworn positions will be posted to
Wisc.Jobs
.
Each position will require an updated resume and cover letter showing your qualifications.
Once chosen for an interview, interviews will take place either in-person or virtually with our panel.
A shadow experience will then be scheduled with police officer candidates to learn more about the work we do.
Each potential new hire will go through our phase 1 background process.
Conditional offers are made, and then phase 2 of the background process begins.
After passing the background process, each potential new hire meets with our Executive Team for an interview.
For sworn law enforcement positions, a pre-employment psychological and physical exam will be conducted.
From application to position acceptance, the process takes about two months.
